Indian tailenders have not performed with the bat, hurting the team in long run.
In the first innings of the first Test match against England, which is currently taking place at Headingley in Leeds, Indian tailenders Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Prasidh Krishna were only able to add five runs to India's total. The pacer quartet added four runs in the second innings on Monday, June 23.
Fans on X blasted Indian batting as the tailenders failed to battle with the bat for the second time in the first Test.
A tweet comparing India's batting to a Doberman dog was read aloud by former Indian wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik before the start of the fifth day of play in Leeds.
A tweet comparing India's batting to a Doberman dog (which generally does not have a tail) was read aloud by former Indian wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik before the start of the fifth day of play in Leeds.
According to the viral comparison, “Indian batting is like a Doberman dog. The head is good, the middle portion is okay, but there’s no tail at all."

In contrast to India, England's final four batsmen—Shoaib Bashir, Josh Tongue, Brydon Carse, and Chris Woakes—added 72 runs to the team's total in the first innings and assisted the hosts in reducing India's lead to just six runs.
Fans shouldn't be surprised by the Indian tailenders' terrible performance in the current match, either. Bumrah has scored 22 ducks in the five-day version of the game since the WTC began in July 2019, and Siraj is tied for second place with 12 ducks in 51 innings of 37 WTC matches.
