Day 3 of the first Test match against England on Sunday saw the vital wicket of Ben Stokes thanks to a trick by wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant of the Indian cricket side.
Harry Brook came one run short of a well-earned century as England amassed 465 runs. A predictable Indian pace assault was hammered by Chris Woakes (38 off 55) before Bumrah castled Josh Tongue to close the England innings. Bumrah took his 12th wicket outside of India with a spectacular five-wicket haul, finishing on 5/83.
Meanwhile, Ben Stokes looked set to do Stokes things, but it was India keeper Rishabh Pant’s quirky chirping from behind the stumps that probably got to him. Pant used mind games and praised Stokes for being watchful.
