Andrew Strauss, the director of cricket did the honors for ECB.
Alastair Cook will retire from the game as the leading Test and international run scorer for England and as the most capped Test cricketer from England at the age of 33 years.
In a journey that started with a debut Test century in 2006 against India in Nagpur, Cook has gone on to become one of the greatest English batsmen of all time. He was the first English batsman to score 10,000 Test runs and play more than 150 Tests. He led England in 59 Tests, the most and earned series wins in India and South Africa.
Andrew Strauss, the Director of Cricket at ECB, presented Cook with a special cap with the number 161 on it, marking his last and final Test for England.
