Vihari batted in both innings for Andhra despite breaking his left arm on day one of match.
Madhya Pradesh had made 228 in reply to Andhra’s first innings total of 379 with Shubham Sharma making 51 and Prithvi Raj Yarra taking 5/26.
In reply, Andhra was bowled out for 93 runs in their second do, with Ashwin Hebbar making 35 and Vihari coming out to bat at no.11 and making 15 runs. Madhya Pradesh got a target of 245 runs to win.
During his knock in the second innings, Vihari played one of the most audacious shots to the MP spinner.
Batting in a left-handed stance to protect his fractured left forearm, Vihari saw a fuller delivery and just changed his stance to a right-handed one and swatted the ball to mid-wicket with his one good arm.
Something similar was tried by England’s Moeen Ali in the recent third ODI against South Africa on the bowling of Tabraiz Shamsi, but he failed to connect.
But Vihari connected and connected well enough that the ball went for a four.
