Vihari batted with last man Lalith Mohan despite injury to help add important runs for Andhra.
Vihari had retired hurt on the first day of the encounter after a bouncer from Avesh Khan hurt him on his wrist, which on scans came out as broken. He was batting on 16 off 37 balls.
An Andhra team official confirmed that Vihari had suffered a fractured wrist on left-hand and had been advised five to six weeks of rest. The official, however, added that he would bat if the team needed it.
Vihari stepped out with the bat and resumed his innings during the morning session on Day 2 with the team’s total at 353 for nine wickets. He was seen batting with only one hand while taking a stance left-handed and managed to hit 2 fours as well.

Many fans were reminded of Vihari’s amazing courage which he had shown during the Sydney Test in Australia on the 2020-21 tour when he batted with a torn hamstring and made 23* in 163 balls and along with R Ashwin (39* in 128 balls) helped India draw the Test and keep the visitors ahead in the four-Test series.
Meanwhile, Vihari was dismissed for 27 runs, falling LBW to Saransh Jain, while Lalith Mohan remained unbeaten on 22 as Andhra was bowled out 379.
