Cheteshwar Pujara, who has been in prolific form for Sussex in the ongoing County season, displayed a different side to his batsmanship on Friday (August 12), as he plundered a 79-ball 107 against Warwickshire.
His magnificent knock chasing a target of 311 eventually went in vain as Warwickshire clinched a thriller by four runs with Indian all-rounder Krunal Pandya picking up 3/51.
Pujara came in to bat with his side at 112/2 in the 22nd over, and departed with the score reading 291/7 in 48.1 overs. His innings was studded with 7 boundaries and 2 sixes, including a 22-run over off fast bowler Liam Norwell.
