During the fifth match of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2021 on Saturday (August 28), cricket fans witnessed a bizarre moment, involving former Pakistan skipper Shoaib Malik.

Playing for Guyana Amazon Warriors against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, Malik came out to bat with a fork beneath his shoes.

In a couple of pictures doing rounds on social media, the plastic fork can be seen underneath his shoes and he later removed it which was also captured on the camera.

While Shoaib Malik left the cricket fraternity in splits with this hilarious incident, he failed to make a mark with the bat in that game.

Malik scored only 5 off 12 deliveries as his team posted 146/8 in 20 overs. Chandrapaul Hemraj was the top scorer with 30-ball 39.

In reply, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots rode on half-centuries from Evin Lewis (62 off 39 balls) and Devon Thomas (55* off 54 balls) to overhaul the target with eight wickets and seven balls to spare.
