The incident happened before the match between Perth Scorchers and Brisbane Heat.
An unprecedented incident happened during the bat flip of the Big Bash League (BBL 10) Challenger match between Perth Scorchers and Brisbane Heat. It took three attempts to find out the winner of the flip after the bat landed twice on its side.
The presenter and the crowd were surprised and so was Heat captain Chris Lynn. It was the third attempt when the flip finally produced a result. Brisbane Heat won the flip in an important match and they decided to bowl first.

The official Twitter account of Big Bash League shared the clip and wrote, "Unprecedented scenes here at the bat-flip ???????????? #BBL10 #BBLFinals."
BBL had introduced the bat flip back in 2018. The captains call for ‘roofs’ and ‘flats’ to decide the course of play instead of heads or tails.
The 10th edition of the league has reached its last phase and the winner of the Challenger match between Perth and Brisbane will face Sydney Sixers in the final on February 6 in Sydney.
