Tamil Nadu defeated Baroda in the final by 7 wickets and won the Syed Musthaq Ali T20 Trophy 2021.
Tamil Nadu players celebrated the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy win with a dance on 'Vaathi Coming', a song from famous south Indian actor Vijay's movie 'Master'.
The Dinesh Karthik-led side defeated Baroda in the final by 7 wickets and won their second title in the domestic T20 tournament after 14 years. Manimaran Siddharth scalped four wickets while C Hari Nishanth (35) and Baba Aparajith (29*) made it an easy chase.
Baroda could score only 120/9 in the 20 overs and it was never going to enough against a strong batting side like Tamil Nadu. But considering they were struggling at 36/6 at one stage, the total gave them something to fight for.

Tamil Nadu made sure they don't do something silly to mess up another Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy final and chased down the target in 18 overs. Last season, they had lost the final against Karnataka.
After the tournament win, the Tamil Nadu players shook a leg on the tunes of Kollywood blockbuster Master in their dressing room. Karthik started dancing on the beats and his teammates caught up with him.
