Mumbai will play practice games from December 21 to 25, 2020.
Indian middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer might not be available for Mumbai in the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy, starting January 10, 2021, due to a shoulder injury.
Shreyas was recently in Australia and played in all 6 limited-overs games against the Kangaroos and is currently in Dubai since returning from the tour after the T20I and ODI series last week.
It is being said that the Mumbai lad injured himself when he landed on his shoulder while trying to stop the ball during the second ODI against Australia – and he had to reportedly cut down on his batting time at the nets because of the discomfort in his shoulder on the recent tour.

Now, a ‘Mid Day’ report has claimed that Shreyas will miss Mumbai’s forthcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy campaign as he will head to the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore to start his rehab.
However, Iyer was named as captain of one of the four teams released by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) on Friday (December 18).
Noteworthy, each team will play three practice games at the BKC ground and Wankhede Stadium from December 21 to 25 before the Salil Ankola-headed selection committee finalizes the Mumbai squad for the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament. Amit Pagnis will be their new coach for the 2020-21 season.
Mumbai will play all their league matches on home turf at Wankhede from January 10
