Gavaskar is commentating in the ongoing Ranji final at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.
Former India cricketer Rohan Gavaskar on Wednesday (March 11) drew everyone’s attention towards the poor quality of toilets at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.
In a fiery tweet, Rohan, who is currently covering the Ranji Trophy 2019-20 final between Saurashtra and Bengal in Rajkot as a commentator, wrote: “The toilet at the saurashtra is so smelly that literally no one gives a shit !!!!”
To which, a senior cricket journalist Siddhartha Vaidyanathan replied: “Looks like the situation is piss-poor”
Amused by the pun, Gavaskar retorted saying: “Hahaha - if they don’t do something about it soon, the shits gonna hit the fan !!”
The hilarious exchange, however, ended on a serious note as Rohan mentioned that the secretary of the Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) wasn’t happy since he expressed his concern on Twitter instead of complaining to him.
“The secretary of the saurashtra cricket association has come and warned me . I think he is going to make a complaint because I tweeted this and didn’t bring it to his notice first !!” he wrote.
Rohan Gavaskar, the son of legendary opener Sunil Gavaskar, has represented India in 11 ODIs during his playing days. He was, however, a seasoned campaigner in India’s domestic cricket, featuring in 117 First-Class matches and 126 List A games.
