The image of one of the dugout members using a mobile phone was seen in PSL 2020.
The image shocked everyone, raising doubts about something illegal going on as the ICC laws state that the mobile phones are banned in player’s dressing rooms and dug-outs, with only walkie talkies permitted for the team management to communicate.

However, while the Pakistan Cricket Board is yet to give any official statement on the matter, Karachi Kings head coach Dean Jones tried to clarify the issue, claiming that it was the franchise's CEO Tariq, who was using the mobile phone, and not any member of the coaching staff and player.
Even though it is yet to be confirmed that it was Kings' CEO only with the phone, Jones said Tariq was just doing his work trying to arrange a practice session for the team.
"Like in ALL T20 cricket. The manager/CEO is the only one allowed to have a phone. In this case Tariq.. our CEO is doing work. Here he is organising us Practice times for today. Thanks for your concern," the former Aussie batsman quote tweeted a journalist who made viral the image.
Kings won by 10 runs on the day in a high-scoring thriller to get their tournament campaign off to a superb start.
