This was Sarfaraz Khan's first triple hundred in FC cricket.
Akshdeep Nath (115) and Upendra Yadav (203*) along with useful contributions from Rinku Singh (84) and Saurabh Kumar helped negate the advantage Mumbai had gotten by reducing the UP to 303/6.
In reply, Mumbai was in a spot of bother with Jay Bista and Shashank falling early. But Hardik Tamore (51), Siddhesh Lad (98) and Aditya Tare (97) added solidarity to the Mumbai innings, the highlight of which was a spectacular knock by Sarfaraz Khan.
Sarfaraz Khan, in 2015, had played for UP against Mumbai at the same ground. He went onto complete his triple ton in 388 balls with 30 fours and 8 sixes. He ended on 301* as Mumbai declared on 688/7. The home side got three points on the basis of the first-innings lead of 63 runs.
