Shreyas was playing for Mumbai against Punjab in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Mumbai batsman Shreyas Iyer was on fire when he faced Punjab on Wednesday in an important Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy game. Iyer smashed unbeaten 80 runs off just 40 balls. His innings was paced up by seven fours and four sixes.
Out of the four sixes, one of them was very special for the fans. It was a helicopter shot. Shreyas was looking unstoppable and he was going after every delivery with very fewer balls left in the innings.
On the first ball of 20th over, Iyer played a helicopter shot which fans couldn't stop praising. He gathered 20 runs from the last over.
Mumbai was looking to set a high score so they could win the match with a big margin and qualify for semifinals. The openers, Prithvi Shaw and Aditya Tare set the platform for Iyer and captain Suryakumar Yadav to go big in middle overs and flourish in the end. They did exactly that and ended up scoring 80 each. Mumbai finished with 243 runs on the board.
They managed to win the game by 22 runs, but that wasn't enough for them to qualify for the top four. Haryana, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka qualified for the semifinals.
