KL Rahul is among the probables for the Indian squad for the 2019 World Cup.
India skipper KL Rahul won the toss and decided to bat first. It proved to be a good decision from his part as the openers, Rahul himself and Abhimanyu Easwaran ground the England Lions’ bowling attack on a placid surface.
KL Rahul hit 81 runs in 166 balls with 11 fours before being caught by Ollie Pope off Zak Chappell. He along with Easwaran added 178 runs for the first wicket partnership in 56 overs.
With Rahul’s performance under the scanner with the 2019 World Cup spot in the Indian squad for an opener still open, his previous score of 89 in the last match and this innings will give a boost to his chances.
Abhimanyu Easwaran scored a brilliant 117 from 222 balls with 13 fours and 1 six and was caught by Pope off Dominic Bess.
