WATCH- Angkrish Raghuvanshi suffers injury in VHT 2025-26 game; stretchered off the ground, taken to hospital

Mumbai faced Uttarakhand in their second Vijay Hazare Trophy match in Jaipur.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi, a young Mumbai player, was rushed off to the hospital after he suffered an injury during his team’s ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT 2025-26) tournament against Uttarakhand that is being played in Jaipur on December 26, 2025.

The incident reportedly occurred when Tanush Kotian was bowling to Saurabh Rawat in the 30th over of the Uttarakhand innings.

The ball took a top edge when the Uttarakhand batter attempted a slog sweep. The Mumbai opener Raghuvanshi, who was positioned at the deep mid-wicket boundary, charged in and dove in to try to catch. Raghuvanshi injured his head and shoulder while trying to make a difficult catch.

But Raghuvanshi was clearly in pain after hitting his head on the ground. The Mumbai players and medical personnel rushed to Raghuvanshi's aid, who was swiftly moved away from the ground on a stretcher and was taken to the nearby SDMH hospital for CT scans.

Raghuvanshi scored a 20-ball 11 as Mumbai posted 331/7, following half-centuries from Hardik Tamore, Musheer Khan, and Sarfaraz Khan, respectively.
