England pacer Jofra Archer was left clueless when a fan tagged him on Twitter blaming for the retirement of Hashim Amla. The South Africa batsman announced his retirement from international cricket on Thursday (August 8). Recently, Dale Steyn had announced his discontinuation with Test cricket. This week would have been quite tough for the Proteas fans.

The fan who blamed Archer for Amla's retirement tweeted, "Amla ???????????????????????????????????? @JofraArcher I will never forgive you." He was referring to the bouncer English pacer bowled in World Cup 2019 to the ex-South African opener.

Amla had missed a pull shot off Jofra during the opening match of the World Cup 2019 between England and South Africa, and the ball crashed into the grill of his helmet at a speed of 144.8kph. He had to walk out for medical examination.

Replays showed Amla had only 0.47 seconds of reaction time to that nasty bouncer.

Archer reacted to the fan's tweet, and he clearly had no idea what the guy is talking about. "What did I do ?", he wrote.

Amla, the 36-year-old was South Africa's second-highest Test run-scorer with 9,282 runs in 124 matches at an average of 46.64 including 28 centuries.
