Pakistan are chasing 336 runs to win their first game against India in World Cup history.
India batted first after losing the toss and thanks to Rohit Sharma’s 140, Virat Kohli’s 77 and KL Rahul’s 57 put on 335/6 in 50 overs. Pakistan has to chase 336 runs and Zaman and Iman started off cautiously by seeing of the Indian new ball pairing of Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. However, when Bhuvneshwar was bowling his fourth ball of his third over, he landed awkwardly and then began limping.
The remainder of the over was bowled by Vijay Shankar, who struck with his very first delivery to send back Imam ul Haq LBW for 7. Upon leaving the field, the right-armer was looked up by India team physio Patrick Farhart and the extent of his injury is unknown.
The official update from the Indian team was that Bhuvneshwar has tightness in his left hamstring and that he will not take part in this match.
