India is the only team which has not played a single match in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 yet. The Indian Cricket Team is practising at Ageas Bowl in Southampton which is the venue for their first match against South Africa on 5 June. During a practice session, today, pacer Jasprit Bumrah was called for the doping test.

A dope control official took him for the test which was conducted in two sessions. In the first part, Bumrah was taken for a urine test. 45 minutes later, his blood sample was taken.

Every Indian player will have to undergo a similar test in every ICC event. These tests will be conducted by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). No other player has been scheduled to undergo this test so far.
