Virat Kohli's men have dominated opponents across all conditions.

India's astonishing bowling prowess seems to have inspired enough faith in Zaheer Khan as he now reckons that Virat Kohli's team is among the favourites to win this year's ICC Cricket World Cup, beginning May 30.

The 2011 World Cup winner is in awe of the bowling depth that India currently has. Zaheer thinks that the recent success of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal in most foreign conditions will have given them immense confidence for the marquee event in England and Wales.

"I think the fast bowlers have been superb," he was quoted saying by Mail Today, "If you look at their numbers, they speak volumes. As a group, they are able to achieve lots. To win Test matches you need 20 wickets, and it has not been a case of just one bowler accumulating all wickets."

"All of them have contributed and just the fact that Umesh (Yadav) and Bhuvneshwar (Kumar) have to wait for their turn shows the depth we have in the bowling line-up."

India were there in England for a good part of three months last year and that experience of fighting it out hard against the No.1 ranked ODI side in its own den shall definitely pay off huge dividends.

“Playing conditions are something that comes into place when you visit the country for the first time," Zaheer added, "This lot of players we are talking about has played enough cricket to not be bothered by it. The bowlers have been familiar with different conditions and they have produced good performances too."

"Rest assured, I think Indian team is ready for the World Cup. They have given enough glimpses of their strength and the forthcoming series against Australia will be another challenge to relish. Overall, I think we are ready."
