Virat Kohli scored 100* in 111 balls with 7 fours to his name.
India star Virat Kohli was the center of the attention as his brilliant unbeaten ton helped the Men in Blue defeat Pakistan in their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 match in Dubai on February 23.
Pakistan batted first after winning the toss, and Saud Shakeel's 62, Mohammad Rizwan's 46, and Khushdil Shah's 38 combined for 241 runs. Kuldeep Yadav and Hardik Pandya were India's outstanding bowlers, grabbing three and two wickets respectively.
In reply, Shaheen Afridi bowled Rohit Sharma for 20 runs, and Abrar Ahmed cleaned up a well-set Shubman Gill. Then Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer added 114 runs for the third wicket before Iyer was dismissed for 56 runs.
Kohli went on to smash 100* in 111 balls, including seven fours and a boundary, to reach his century and help India win the match with 45 balls remaining. India achieved the objective with six wickets.
India has more or less qualified for the semi-final as well and will play New Zealand in their final group match on March 2 at the same venue.
After Kohli scored his century, he kissed the ring around his neck and gave a thumbs up to the camera. His wife Anushka Sharma then posted a special message using Kohli’s photo and gave a heart emoji.
