India beat Bangladesh by 3 wickets to win the series 2-0.
India edged out Bangladesh by three wickets in a thriller at Mirpur to clinch the Test series 2-0. Both teams knew they had a chance of winning the Test match on the fourth day with India needing 100 runs and Bangladesh requiring six wickets.
India, resuming at 45/4 chasing 145 for a win, were reduced to 74/7 before Shreyas Iyer (29*) and Ravichandran Ashwin (42*) added an unbroken partnership of 71 for the 8th wicket to seal victory. Mehidy Hasan Miraz picked up a five-wicket haul but couldn't break the partnership that took the match away from the hosts.
Ravichandran Ashwin was named the Player-of-the-Match, while Cheteshwar Pujara took the Player-of-the-Series award. India strengthened their second position on the World Test Championship table as a result of the series win.
