Ebadot Hossain has been ruled out of the second Test due to back injury.
Najmul Hossain Shanto scored a fifty, Shakib Al Hasan hammered a quick 84 runs, while Zakir Hasan hit a debut Test ton as they stretched the innings into day five. But Akshar Patel took 4 and Kuldeep Yadav added three wickets to his first innings haul of five to bring the Bangladeshi innings to a swift end.
Now the two teams will clash in the second and final Test match in Dhaka on December 22 and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), on Sunday, announced the squad for the match.
The hosts have added uncapped left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed and left-out injured pace bowler Ebadot Hossain for the second Test. Nasum has played four one-day internationals and 28 Twenty20 internationals but is yet to play a Test.
Bangladesh head coach Russell Domingo had admitted during the press conference after the first Test that they are not sure whether Shakib would be able to bowl in the second Test after being troubled by a shoulder injury he suffered in the second ODI by Umran Malik's short ball.
"Ebadot received an injury on his back in the first Test. He will not be fit for the second Test. That's why we took Nasum in his place though we have yet to decide whether we would play an extra spinner in Dhaka," said selector Habibul Bashar.
Opening batsman Tamim Iqbal, who missed the ODI series and first Test due to a groin injury, failed to make it to the squad for the second Test. Batsman Anamul Haque and pace bowler Shoriful Islam were also left out.
