India bundled out Bangladesh for a paltry 182 after posting 409/8 on the board.
Invited to bat first, the Men in Blue piled up a massive 409/8 in their allotted 50 overs on the back of centuries from Ishan Kishan (210 off 131 balls) and Virat Kohli (113 off 91 balls).
In reply, Bangladesh’s innings folded for a paltry 182 in 34 overs. It was a listless batting performance from the hosts as no one managed to hit a half-century. Shakib Al Hasan was the top scorer with 43.
All the Indian bowlers were among the wickets. While Shardul Thakur (3-30) bagged three wickets, Akshar Patel (2-22) and Umran Malik (2-43) returned with two scalps each and Mohammed Siraj (1-27), Kuldeep Yadav (1-53) and Washington Sundar (1-2) managed to grab wicket apiece.
Despite the defeat, the Litton Das-led Bangladesh side clinched the three-ODI series 2-1 on the basis of victories in the first two games.
For their clinical display with both bat and ball, the Indian team received rich praise from the cricket fraternity on Twitter.
