Siraj accounted for both Bangladesh openers Litton Das and Anamul Haque.
Bangladesh captain Litton Das won the toss and chose to bat first. Indian bowlers gave a tough time to the hosts’ batters and left them reeling at 69/6 inside the first 20 overs.
Mohammed Siraj was the one who started by dismissing Anamul Haque (11) LBW and then accounting for captain Litton Das (7) as well. Then Washington Sundar got into action, removing Shakib Al Hasan for 8 and Mushfiqur Rahim for 12 runs.
All this while, Najmul Hossain Shanto battled it hard out there and was troubled by Siraj who was bowling his heart out. Shanto drilled Siraj down the ground for a boundary off the first ball of the eight over before India quick came back strongly to beat him off consecutive deliveries.
After beating Shanto with a beautiful away-swinger on the 4th ball of the over, Siraj walked up to Najmul and had a few words with the batter and Shanto replied in kind as well.
