Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bowl first in 1st ODI.
Bangladesh stand-in captain Litton Das won the toss and chose to field first on a sluggish pitch. India gave an ODI debut to pacer Kuldeep Sen, while Shahbaz Ahmed was also picked with Washington Sundar slated to bat at no.6.
India started off cautiously as Shikhar Dhawan found it tough to gauge the pace of the pitch and was bowled Mehidy Hasan Miraz for 7 runs in 17 balls.

The Litton brought on the experienced Shakib Al Hasan and he made an immediate impact as he first clean-bowled Rohit Sharma with a brilliant arm ball for 27 runs in 31 balls. And after one ball, Virat Kohli was caught for 9 runs in 15 balls.
Kohli tried to drive a fuller-length ball but managed to hit it in the air as he failed to reach the pitch of the ball. The ball going in the covers was intercepted by a flying captain Litton Das, who took an amazing two-handed catch in midair to send back the ace batter to the pavilion, leaving India 49/3 in 10.4 overs.
