India will take on Pakistan on Sunday in Dubai, while HK clashes with Sri Lanka on Monday.
India defeated the UAE in their first game on September 10 by a crushing 9 wickets, thanks to four wickets by Kuldeep Yadav and a quick 16-ball 30 by Abhishek Sharma. Shubman Gill also slammed 20* in 9 balls as India chased down 57 runs in 4.3 overs and won the game by 9 wickets.
In 114 international matches, Gill, who is 26 years old, has amassed 6,020 runs at an average of 46.30 and a strike rate of 80.05 in 146 innings, with 18 hundreds and 25 fifties. He is the youngest Indian to score a century in all three international cricket formats. He also has a double century in ODIs, while recently he scored twin tons in one test against England.
Meanwhile, recently, as India practiced in Dubai for their match against Pakistan, the Hong Kong team was also at the same venue, doing their drills for their final Group B game against Sri Lanka on Monday, September 15.
Several of the Hong Kong players were seen in conversation with Shubman Gill, who is also the Test captain of the Indian team. They were seen listening intently to Shubman Gill’s words as he gestured how to play some shots and answered their questions.
