Pakistan will play a T20I triseries involving UAE and Afghanistan before the Asia Cup 2025.
Although there were rumors that star players Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam would be called up to the T20I team, the Pakistani selectors adhered to their plan and chose the talented young players for the Asia Cup 2025 and the forthcoming T20I Tri-Series.
Dependable players like Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Khushdil Shah, and Fakhar Zaman have retained their spots in the squad. Mohammad Haris has been picked as the wicketkeeper-batter for the two assignments.
Young names like Hasan Nawaz, Salman Mirza, and Sufyan Moqim also find a place in the Pakistan T20I squad. Abrar Ahamed, Mohammed Waseem Jnr, Sahibzada Farhan, and Saim Ayub are there to bolster an already impressive list of names.
The tri-series, featuring Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the UAE, will be played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium from 29 August to 7 September. The Asia Cup 2025 will be in the UAE from September 9 to 28 September. Pakistan has been placed in Group A with India, Oman, and the UAE.
