Australia leads the five-match T20I series 1-0 after two games.
India needs to win this game and stay alive in the series, but the toss hasn’t been on the side of the Men in Blue. India captain Suryakumar Yadav has lost the majority of the tosses in his captaincy career, including losing every toss in their Asia Cup 2025 win.
Suryakumar lost the toss in the first two T20Is as well and decided to pray for winning the toss in the third T20I, and the gods seemingly heard him. India won the toss and chose to bowl against Australia in the 3rd T20I.
As soon as the match referee confirmed India had won the toss, Suryakumar Yadav was ecstatic and even hugged his Australian counterpart, Mitchell Marsh.
