India and Australia will play three ODIs and five T20Is starting from October 19.
The Asia Cup 2025 was hampered by off-field squabbles between the two sides, which began with Suryakumar Yadav's India refusing to shake hands with their opponents following the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor.
After India defeated Pakistan thrice in the tournament, including the Asia Cup trophy, the ACC and PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi locked the trophy in the ACC office, instructing that no one should hand over the trophy to the Indian team unless they come to the office and take it from him.
The video uploaded by Kayo Sports opens with one anchor saying, "We all know India is on its way. But we've identified one critical weakness."
The other one then chimes in, saying, “We know that they're not huge fans of the traditional greeting (handshake), so we can throw them off before we've even bowled a ball.”
Mitchell Marsh makes an appearance, as the Australian white-ball captain emulates Travis Head by performing the "finger in the ice cup." Sophie Molineux, an Australian spinner, ridiculed the Indian squad by first raising her hand and then two middle fingers.
Pacer Josh Hazlewood remained cheeky throughout, saying, “What about the shooter?” The video also featured Glenn Maxwell.

This ODI series will mark the return of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to the Indian team, which will be captained by Shubman Gill for the first time in the format. On the other hand, Mitchell Starc and Hazlewood were named in the Australia squad, while Pat Cummins is out due to a back injury.
