Rishabh Pant had remained unbeaten on 89 to take India over the line in Brisbane.
India all-rounder Washington Sundar talked about his partnership with Rishabh Pant against Australia at the Gabba, Brisbane, which propelled the team towards victory in the fourth and deciding Test and helped them breach the fortress.
Sundar and Pant added 53 runs off 55 deliveries for the 6th wicket to put Australia under pressure. When Washington got out for a well made 22, India needed 10 runs more, and Pant (89*) ensured they secure a historic victory with a four off Josh Hazlewood.
The Tamil Nadu cricketer has described the winning four by Pant as the best feeling of his life. The 21-year-old, who made his Test debut at Gabba, talked about his return to home and the treatment he's getting from his mother after a successful tour.
"I had chicken biriyani two days back and my mother is pampering me a lot. But in a couple of days I am so much looking to join the team again and get ready for the England series," Sundar told Sports Today ahead of England tour which starts on February 5.

Sundar scored 62 in the first innings of the Gabba Test, followed by an important cameo of 22 runs in the second innings. He also picked up four wickets in the match.
Talking about the crucial partnership with Pant, he said, "Rishabh and I have played a lot of cricket since our under 19 days and that helped a lot. He was batting superbly and that helped us take control. When I went in we still needed 50. I knew if we got 25-30 runs they will feel the pressure and we could win. That’s exactly what we did."
"When Rishabh hit the winning four it was just the best feeling of my life: and when I was walking with the Indian flag at the Gabba it is a feeling I can’t express in words," the 21-year-old added.
Washington said he got a lot of confidence from head coach Ravi Shastri. He also mentioned India's stand-in skipper Ajinkya Rahane's captaincy and the vice-captain Rohit Sharma's support for the youngsters behind their success.
"Ravi bhai has always given us confidence and the way Ajinkya captained was superb. Rohit has always helped us all the youngsters and the dressing room was fantastic, all of us were allowed to express ourselves," he said.
