Supriyo said that Vihari's slow batting had killed India's chances of winning the SCG Test.
India was set 407 runs to win and though Cheteshwar Pujara (77) and Rishabh Pant (97) ignited hopes of an unlikely Indian win with a 148-run stand, their wickets led to an Indian team shutting shop and playing for the draw.
However, it was a tough ask, given that Hanuma Vihari injured his hamstring early into his innings limiting his movement severely and he was partnered with R Ashwin, who had his own back issues, which kept him from sitting or lying down.

However, the duo gritted out in the middle for nearly three hours and 258 balls, adding 62* runs for the partnership. They also suffered from verbal diarrheas of Australian captain Tim Paine and close-in fielders alike.
However, Babul Supriyo, much known for his singing skills in Bollywood, took to Twitter and slammed Hanuma Vihari’s knock, saying that he killed chances of an Indian win by batting slowly. Unfortunately for him, he had spelled Hanuma’s last name as Bihari.
This led to Vihari correcting him on Twitter, which was enough as an answer to Supriyo’s lack of cricketing knowledge.
Vihari’s batting partner R Ashwin also reacted to the takedown tweeting, “ROFLMAX”.
