India won the second Test match after suffering a big defeat in the first Test.
Indian team made a strong comeback after a humiliating loss against Australia in the first Test at Adelaide. They proved the critics wrong by winning the Boxing Day Test match at MCG.
R Ashwin was delighted after the win and his wife Prithi Ashwin said she has never seen him so happy in 10 years. The off-spinner picked up 3 wickets in the first innings and 2 in the second which turned out to be crucial in India's win.
Ashwin shared a post and said it was good to come up with a strong response after being pushed against the wall. Prithi reacted to his tweet to let his fans know what this win means to the offie.
"I have seen/ spoken to Ashwin after every Test he has played and after a lot of wins. But I have never seen him this happy, satisfied and light (can I say?) with a smile in his eyes in almost 10 years.", she wrote.
Unlike the day-night Test, India didn't let the game slip away in the second innings after being in a good position in the first innings. India won the second Test by 8 wickets.
