The Australian side is facing a few injuries scares ahead of the much-awaited Test series against the touring Indian side. They have already lost openers David Warner and Will Pucovski for the first Test and are not completely sure about the recovery of concussed all-rounder Cameron Green.

But, Australian coach Justin Langer is optimistic about the youngster's return after the concussion in the second practice game against India. He has also stated that if Green passes the fitness tests, he will be making his Test debut in Adelaide.

AUS v IND 2020-21: "It was a step up facing India bowlers," admits Cameron Green

ESPNCricinfo quoted Langer as saying to Channel Seven, "Fingers crossed (about Green's availability). The guys from Australia A arrived a couple of hours ago. He turned up with a big smile on his face."

"He looks in really good spirits. Fingers crossed he'll be right to go. He's a real talent," he added.

"If Cameron gets through the protocols and he gets through training and he feels good … he’ll make his test debut, which is very, very exciting for Australian cricket, for him and his family."

Green picked 3 wickets in the 18.1 overs that he bowled including 7 maiden overs. He also scored an unbeaten 125 in the only innings he batted in. The inclusion of the all-rounder will certainly make the Australian side much stronger and make the Indians toil hard in both departments.

The 21-year-old Cameron Green has registered 5 hundreds in just 21 First-Class matches scoring 1321 runs in the process.

He averages 55.04 with the bat and is one of the most exciting emerging cricketers from Down Under. If he passes the tests, Green will a player to watch out for in the Day/Night Test at Adelaide starting from Thursday, December 17.
