Saha is playing the D/N warmup game as a batsman with Pant keeping wickets.
Indian top-order batsmen Shubman Gill (43 in 58 balls) and Prithvi Shaw (40 in 29 balls), hammered the Australia A bowlers, adding 63 runs in nearby 8 overs. However, after their dismissals, India collapsed 123/9, before Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj (22) added 71 valuable runs.
The Indian team is having Rishabh Pant keeping wickets in this game, as he had missed the first warmup tie, with Wriddhiman Saha taking the gloves. Though Saha is playing this warmup game as well, he is included as a batsman.
However, this didn’t stop Saha from showing his fielding skills, as he completed a brilliant running and diving catch from midwicket, to get rid of Nic Maddinson off the bowling of Mohammed Siraj.
Here is the video of Saha’s catch:
By the time of writing this piece, Australia A were 73/5 in 22 overs, with Joe Burns earning a duck, and Mohammad Shami picking three wickets.
