India's latest bowling interest T Natarajan received his maiden T20I cap on Friday by Jasprit Bumrah. Natarajan already made his international debut by featuring in the last ODI against Australia on Wednesday.
Bumrah, who isn't part of the first T20I, shook hands with Natarajan and handed over the cap. It was a special moment for the 29-year-old who got recognization after an impressive IPL 2020.
BCC shared the video with fans on Twitter and wrote, "Onwards and upwards! After his ODI debut, @Natarajan_91 will today play his maiden T20I game for #TeamIndia. He gets his ???? from @Jaspritbumrah93 #AUSvIND."
The speedster is famous for bowling accurate yorkers. In the absence of Bumrah in the first T20I, India would need Natarajan to step up in the death overs.
Nataraja had bagged 2 wickets and he called the experience surreal to represent India. "It was a surreal experience to represent the country. Thanks to everyone for your wishes. Looking forward to more challenges," T Natarajan tweeted after the last ODI.
