Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) shared pain on Twitter after Steve Smith and Glenn Maxwell's knocks against India in the 1st ODI. Both the cricketers had a below-average Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 with the bat.

While Maxwell failed badly and scored just 108 runs in 13 matches, Smith batted with an average of 25.91 to score 311 runs. But during the first ODI against India, Smith smashed the third-fastest ODI ton for Australia and ended his knock with 105 off 66 deliveries. On the other hand, Maxwell scored 45 off 19 deliveries with 3 sixes.

After Australia's highest-ever ODI score of 374/6 against India, RR and KXIP's official Twitter accounts checked on each other.

India lost the match by 66 runs after their batting order failed to step up in a big chase. Only Hardik Pandya (90) and Shikhar Dhawan (74) scored half-centuries, and the rest of the batters didn't contribute much. The teams will take on each other in the second ODI on Sunday.
