Virat Kohli will be play the limited overs series and only the 1st Test against Australia.
The Indian team is all set to lock horns with a strong Australian side in their own backyard for an all-format series starting from Friday, November 27.
Virat Kohli will be leading India in the limited-overs series and the first Test and might be extra motivated to perform as he is not going to stay on for the full series.
Former Australian pacer Jason Gillespie has praised the Indian skipper by saying that he does not have any particular flaw in his batting that will allow the Aussies to take his wicket cheaply.
Gillespie told The Telegraph, "The Australians do want to take Virat’s wicket cheaply. He doesn’t seem to be having any weaknesses in particular. So, the Aussie bowlers not only need to be really ruthless when it comes to their line and length, but they will also have to stay nice and patient, that is going to be really important."
"They would be hoping they can bowl those good deliveries at Virat," he added.
The 45-year-old went on to mention that the Australian side would not want him to bat for long as India will post a huge total if their skipper stays out there in the middle for a long time.
"We know what a wonderful player Virat is. Australians do want to watch him bat but not for too long. Because if he does bat for a long time, India will surely go on to get a huge score,” Gillespie said.
