Team India will be up against a stronger Australian side than they faced Down Under close to a couple of years back. The Test series will be preceded by the limited-overs leg that will begin from November 27.

The first Test has been confirmed to be a day/night affair. These two sides will be facing each other in a D/N Test for the first time. The match is scheduled to start on December 17 in at the Adelaide Oval. However, there is a possibility that the Test will have to be moved out of Adelaide due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in that region.

AUS v IND 2020-21: Bumrah and Shami to be rotated during white-ball series against Australia- Reports

Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood has revealed that his preferred venue outside Adelaide will be The Gabba in Brisbane. His choice is not surprising given Australia's record at that venue. The home side is yet to lose a Test in Brisbane since 1988.

Hazlewood told reporters, "It probably would be (the Gabba) to be fair."

"I think the longer we wait the hotter it gets up there so the quicks would all be happy to get that game done in early December. We obviously have a really good record (in Brisbane) and it’s a great place to start," he added.

Australia have played a total of 31 Tests in Brisbane after 1988 and have won 25 of them while the rest ended in draws. They have won the last 7 Tests at the venue since 2014 and will have a huge psychological advantage coming to Brisbane.
