Former India batsman Sanjay Manjrekar will return to the commentary box via the forthcoming series in Australia after being absent from behind the mic during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 in UAE.

"Manjrekar is one of the experts enrolled by Sony Pictures Network which will be broadcasting the three ODIs, three Twenty20 Internationals and four Tests to be played between India and Australia," states a report by Mumbai Mirror.

While Indian broadcaster for the Australian trip hasn't yet confirmed the full list of commentators that will be heard over the span of 10 international fixtures, Manjrekar is learnt to have confirmed of his inclusion to Mumbai Mirror

Manjrekar was dropped from the BCCI commentary panel earlier this year without any reason explained publicly by the board. However, that won't stop one of the finest readers of the game from being back with Sony for the marquee Indian tour, starting November 27 in Sydney with the first ODI.

The report further mentioned, Sunil Gavaskar, Michael Clarke, Harsha Bhogle Andrew Symonds, Glenn McGrath and for Hindi, Virender Sehwag, have also been approached by Sony for the series.

Canberra's Manuka Oval will co-host the limited-overs leg, also comprising second and the third ODIs on November 29 and December 2. The three T20Is will be played on December 4, 6 and 8, respectively.

The Test series begins on December 17 with India's maiden away D/N fixture in Adelaide, followed by games in Melbourne (December 26-30), Sydney (January 7-11) and Brisbane (January 15-19).
