Pakistan will start tour of West Indies this Sunday, March
26. The tour will start with the first match of the 4 T20I matches series. The
first T20I will be played at the Kensington Oval, Barbados. The tour consists
of 4 T20I matches, 3 ODI matches and 3 Tests. Sarfaraz led Pakistan in T20
international against England and West Indies. Pakistan won all the matches
under his captaincy. Sarafraz also captained Quetta Gladiators in HBL PSL 2016
& 2017 and both the times his team made it into the finals. Stats have so
far supported Sarfaraz a good captain for Pakistan side. But ODI is a different
format and since we are on 8th in ODI ranking therefore captaining Pakistan
will be a huge task for Sarfaraz.
         Best
economical pick & Smart pick - Kamran Akmal has
made a comeback in both T20 and ODI squad after amazing performance in
Domestics and then carried his form in the PSL 2017. Akmal was the top scorer
in Quaid-e-Azam trophy 2016 with 1035 runs with an average of 79.61. He was
also the top scorer of PSL 2017 with 353 runs. Fakhar Zaman was
brilliant in the Quaid-e-Azam trophy. He later carried the form in PSL 2017 for
Lahore Qalandars. He is a great choice for the middle order. He plays according
to the situation of the game and has good shot selection.
       Top
captains & vice captains - The Pakistani middle order batsman Babar
Azam has been in his form of life. He was the 2nd top
run getter in the recently concluded PSL tournament with 291 runs in 4 matches.
For the hosts Evin Lewis looks set to be the key man with the
willow, he has shown the ability to play some good innings in twenty over
cricket something the West Indies will desperately need.
       Cautions
Pick -Â Mohammad Hafeez's selection in the team is a question
mark, with an average of 7 runs in a match and only took 7 wickets in 10 games
of HBL PSL 2017. Also his domestic performance is below average. Hafeez failed
to score runs in a practice match (part of WI's tour preparation) played on
March 15th 2017 and is in the team now.
