England and Pakistan will face off in the second and final Test match at Headingley in Leeds as the visitors eye a historic series victory. It was all one-way traffic at Lord’s last week when the seamers of Pakistan strangled the batsmen as the record of the hosts at the venue continued to get worse. England will somehow need to find a way to get past the bowling attack of the opposition. However, it will not be easy for them as they will be charged up totally to crush them and clinch the Test series for the first time since 1996. Joe Root has been facing a lot of problems ever since he has led the team Down Under last year. Sarfraz Ahmed, on the other hand, will be a happy captain courtesy of his bowlers doing the job perfectly. England are a strong Test team at home. They have a history of losing the first Test and then bouncing back to level the series. Pakistan, however, would not go down fighting.

Best economical pick – Hasan Ali replaced Rahat Ali for the first Test match and he made an immediate impact by taking 4 wickets in the first innings. After performing so well in the limited overs format, Hasan Ali is now performing in test cricket too. A player you should keep in your fantasy team.

Top captains & vice captains – Alastair Cook was the only one who showed nerves of steel in the first innings and scored 70 runs before getting out to a peach of a delivery from Amir. England needs their big match player to amass runs at will like he was doing a few years ago. He will have to play a long innings and hold one end to frustrate the visitors. Mohammad Abbas was brilliant, combined discipline and incision to destructive effect in both innings to end with superb figures. He named player of the match after taking four wickets in each innings at Lord’s. Abbas, with his eight wickets in the Test match against England, became the first Pakistani bowler to take 40 wickets in seven matches.

Smart pick – England Skipper Joe Root played a dreadful shot to get out cheaply in the first innings. But batted well in the second innings. He scored another half century, but yet again failed to convert it to a big knock. He needs to amass tons of runs if England want to win the second test.

Cautious Pick – Ben Stokes suffered a tight left hamstring injury during fielding in a training session on Wednesday.  The home team will be taking a final call on Stokes’ inclusion in the team for the final Test match after a complete assessment of the injury. However, there is also a chance that he might not pay this match.

My XI – A Cook (Captain), Mohammad Abbas (Vice-Captain), Hasan Ali, Joe Root, Imam-ul-Haq, Stuart Broad, Haris Sohail, Jos Buttler, Jonny Bairstow, Asad Shafiq, Mohammad Amir
