Pakistan will take on Bangladesh in the first T20I at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Friday (January 24).

Pakistan's form in this format has been poor since the start of 2019 as they have lost all their series since then and now will be looking to return to winning ways in this series as it's a T20 World Cup year and this number one side in the world has to prove why they are so. Captain Babar Azam as usual has to lead from front and he will have the experience of Shoaib Malik and Mohammed Hafeez and in the bowling young pacers like Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf and Mohammad Hasnain will be eager to make their marks.

On the other hand, Bangladesh too will look to beat the hosts in their own backyard and players who are coming after having a good season of Bangladesh Premier League will look to carry their form into this series. Captain Mahmudullah, Tamim Iqbal and Mustafizur Rahman have to take the responsibility and youngsters like Afif Hossain, Mehidy Hasan and Liton Das too have a good opportunity to show their talents.
