Stats: Yuvraj Singh's international career in numbers

Yuvraj Singh who is widely regarded as one of the greatest Indian limited overs players announced his retirement from international cricket at the age of 38. The left-hander made his international debut against Kenya at Nairobi in October 2000 at the age of just 18. In his first innings of career, he scored 84 runs against Australia in the quarterfinal of ICC Champions Trophy 2000 and helped the team to reach in the semifinal.

After two years in the NatWest series final, he played a match-winning knock of 69 runs and helped India to chase down a target of 325 runs. He also played a great role in WT20 2007 and World Cup 2011 championships and was Man of the tournament in World Cup 2011. In his 18 years international career, he broke and set many records and we'll have a look at his international career in numbers.

1 - Yuvraj Singh hit 6 sixes in Stuart Broad's over at Durban in WT20 2007 and he is the only player to hit 6 sixes in an over in T20I cricket. 

1 - In World Cup 2011 against Ireland in Bangalore Yuvraj Singh picked up a five wickets haul (5/31) and also scored an unbeaten fifty (50*) - the only player to score a fifty and pick up 5 wickets in the same match of ODI World Cup. 

1 - In World Cup 2011 Yuvraj Singh scored 362 runs and took 15 wickets in 9 matches - the only player to score 300 plus runs and take 15 wickets in a single edition of ODI World Cup. 

12 - Yuvraj Singh scored 50 in just 12 balls against England at Durban in WT20 2007  the fastest ever fifty in terms of balls in T20I cricket. 

27 - Number of Man of the Match awards Yuvraj Singh won in ODIs - the joint most fourth Man of the Match awards for India in ODIs behind Sachin Tendulkar (62), Virat Kohli (32) and Sourav Ganguly (31). 

1177 - With 1177 runs Yuvraj Singh is one of the six Indian players to achieve the milestone of 1000 runs in T20I cricket. 

1523 - Runs Yuvraj Singh scored against England in ODIs - the most by any Indian player. And his 4 hundreds against England are also the most by an Indian player. 

8609 - Runs Yuvraj Singh scored in ODIs for India - the seventh most runs for India in ODIs.

8701 Runs + 111 wickets - Yuvraj Singh (8701 runs + 111 wickets) is one of the nine players with the double of 8000 plus runs and 100 plus wickets in ODI cricket.
