BAN vs ZIM 2018 : First Test - Statistical Preview

All the major stats and facts as Bangladesh take on Zimbabwe in the first Test in Sylhet.

Bangladesh haven't won a Test since September 2017, have lost six of their last seven Tests and now they have a good opportunity to return on winning ways against the tenth-ranked side, Zimbabwe who also haven't won a Test since September 2013. Bangladesh will miss their top two players Tamim Iqbal and Shakib al Hasan who are injured right now. On the other hand, Zimbabwe will play their first Test of 2018. The return of their key players like Brendan Taylor, Sikandar Raza and Sean Williams will give them hopes of tasting success in this format after a long time.

1 - Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Sylhet will host it's first ever Test match. It will be 8th Test ground in Bangladesh.

2 - Mominul Haque has made two Test centuries this year and he is also the only century maker for Bangladesh in Test cricket in 2018. 

6 - Bangladesh have lost six of their last seven Tests and one Test ended in a draw. Their last Test win came against Australia at Dhaka in September 2017.

793 - Brendan Taylor has scored 793 runs in just 8 Tests against Bangladesh - the most runs by any player in Bangladesh - Zimbabwe Test history. 

941 - Craig Ervine (941 runs) need 59 more runs to complete 1000 Test runs. He'll be 15th Zimbabwean player to achieve this milestone.

1925 - Mushfiqur Rahim has scored 1925 runs in Test cricket at home and needs 75 more runs to become third Bangladeshi player after Tamim Iqbal (2476) and Shakib al Hasan (2307) to score 2000 Test runs at home.
