RP Singh : International Cricket Career in Numbers

RP Singh, at the age of 32, announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.

Indian left-arm fast bowler RP Singh announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on the 13th anniversary of his ODI debut (4 September 2005).

RP Singh played 14 Tests, 58 ODIs, and 10 T20Is for India in his 13-year career. RP Singh made his ODI debut against Zimbabwe at Harare in September 2005 and took 2 wickets on debut and thereafter he made his Test debut against Pakistan at Faisalabad in January 2006 and claimed Man of the Match award for his 4 wickets haul in debut Test innings.

2007 was his best cricket year as he bagged his only five wickets haul in Lord's Test against England and was leading wicket-taker for India in WT20 2007.

RP Singh also made a good start to his IPL career, took 23 wickets in the second season of IPL which was held in South Africa and helped Deccan Chargers to win their maiden title and he himself won the Purple Cap for taking most wickets in that season. He last played a match for India in September 2011 against England.

12 - RP Singh took 12 wickets in World T20 2007 - the most wickets taken by an Indian bowler in a T20 series or tournament.
