A hundred from Shimron Hetmyer and a brilliant last over from captain Jason Holder helped West Indies to beat Bangladesh by 3 runs in a thrilling second ODI match at the Providence Stadium, Guyana and with this victory, Windies leveled the ODI series with 1-1.

Bangladesh asked the hosts to bat first and dismissed Windies for 271 runs in the 50th over, Shimron Hetmyer scored 125 runs off just 93 balls and in response Bangladesh started well and scored half of the runs by the 25th over with the loss of only one wicket and in the end they were needed just 8 runs in 7 balls with two set batsmen at the crease but Jason Holder conceded only 4 runs in the last over and sealed 3 runs victory for his team. Shimron Hetmyer was named Man of the Match.

1 - This was Bangladesh's first loss at Providence Stadium, Guyana in ODIs. They won both the ODIs they played at this venue before this game. 

2 - Shimron Hetmyer (21 years & 212 days) became the first Windies player to score more than one hundred in ODIs at the age of 22 or less than 22. 

3 - West Indies' 3 runs win is their smallest win in terms of runs against Bangladesh. The previous smallest win was by 23 runs at Kingston back in 2004. 

72.13 - Tamim Iqbal's ODI batting average since the start of 2017. Since then he has scored total 1082 runs in 18 ODI innings with 3 hundreds and 8 fifties.

520 - Tamim Iqbal also completed 500 ODI runs against West Indies, he is the second Bangladeshi player to score 500 or more ODI runs against West Indies after Mushfiur Rahim (603).
