T20I Tri Series 2018 : Match 1, ZIM vs PAK - Statistical Highlights

Number one ranked T20I side Pakistan comprehensively beat host Zimbabwe by 74 runs in the first match of T20I tri-series at Harare Sports Club, Harare.

Zimbabwe asked Pakistan to bat first and the visitors scored a good total of 182/4 in their innings with the help of Fakhar Zaman's 61, Shoaib Malik's 37* and Asif Ali's 41*.

In response, Zimbabwe openers couldn't give a good start to their teams and kept losing wickets regularly and got all out for just 108 runs in the 18th over. Asif Ali was elected Man of the Match for his unbeaten 41 runs off 21 balls.

8 - This was Pakistan's 8th consecutive T20I win. After winning the last 2 T20I matches against New Zealand earlier this year, Pakistan beat West Indies by 3-0 in April and Scotland by 2-0 in June. 

10 - Pakistan have won all the 10 T20I matches they played against Zimbabwe and only against New Zealand (11) and West Indies (13) they have more than 10 wins in this format.

20 - With 20 T20I wins as a captain Sarfraz Ahmed became the most successful Pakistani captain in this format. He surpassed Shahid Afridi's 19 wins record.

51 - Mohammad Hafeez (51) became the 5th Pakistani bowler to take 50 or more T20I wickets after Shahid Afridi (97), Umar Gul (85), Saeed Ajmal (85) and Sohail Tanvir (54).

1067 - Shoaib Malik has scored 1067 runs at an average of 48.50 in 40 T20I matches since his comeback in May 2015. And since then only Rohit Sharma (1210) and Mohammad Shahzad (1243) have scored more runs than him.

2026 - Shoaib Malik (2026) became the first Pakistani and overall third player to score 2000 runs in T20I cricket after Brendon McCullum (2140) and Martin Guptill (2271).
