West Indies after winning the toss and opting to bat first, declared at 414/8 in the first innings, wicket kepper batsman Shane Dowrich scored unbeaten 125 runs. And took 229 runs lead after bundling out Sri Lanka for just 185 runs in their first innings.
West Indies set a target of 453 runs for the visitors and in the fourth innings of match Sri Lanka put up a fight on the fourth day as they ended on 176 for 3 and needed 277 runs on the last day but after Kusal Mendis's dismissal Sri Lanka collapsed and lost the last 7 wickets for just 37 runs. Shane Dowrich was named Man of the Match for his splendid 125* runs knock.
