2016 IPL champions Sunrisers Hyderabad finished their IPL 2018 campaign as runners-up after losing to Chennai Super Kings in the final match. SRH won 10 out of 17 matches in this IPL season and was the table toppers in the league stage with 9 wins from 14 league matches.
Before the start of this IPL season, SRH suffered a big blow as their regular captain and best batsman David Warner was banned by BCCI for this IPL season for his involvement in the ball tampering scandal.
